Terms of Service

Volition AI helps you tailor a resume and companion documents to a specific job, with automated checks that block claims not grounded in facts you confirm. By using Volition AI you agree to use it for your own genuine job applications and to review every document before you send it. You are responsible for the accuracy and use of what you submit to employers.

Volition AI provides no guarantee of any outcome — interviews, offers, or hiring decisions are not within our control. The service is provided “as is.” You retain ownership of the content you enter; you grant Volition AI only the permission needed to process it and to generate your documents.

Privacy Policy

What we collect, all provided by you or generated from your inputs:

• Your account (email and profile from your sign-in provider).
• Your uploaded or pasted resume text, and the job descriptions you add.
• The facts, bullets, and work history you confirm, and the lane you set.
• Generated documents and their validation results.
• Product-usage events (which steps you reached — never the content of them) and billing records for any purchase.

We use this data only to run the service for you. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties except the infrastructure providers that host and process it on our behalf (authentication and storage, our database and job queue, and the AI provider described below). We use privacy-preserving defaults and do not compile profiles about you across outside sources.

AI Disclosure

Volition AI uses third-party large language models to draft wording. They never decide on their own what ships: every generated document passes deterministic validators that block numbers, dates, credentials, clearances, and scope claims that don’t trace to facts you confirmed. You confirm the facts and achievements Volition AI may write from, and every document stops on a review step listing anything Volition AI flagged, which you resolve or accept before it is produced.

Who processes your text. Your resume, the job descriptions you paste, and the documents Volition AI generates are sent to these providers:

• DeepInfra — runs the models that draft most resume and cover-letter wording
• Anthropic (Claude) — drafts wording, and takes over automatically if the primary provider is unavailable
• Google (Gemini) — reads uploaded resumes and job descriptions into structured facts

Each processes your content under its own API terms. Volition AI does not permit your content to be used to train these providers’ models, and providers may retain a copy briefly for their own abuse-monitoring and security purposes under those terms. AI output can still be wrong or awkward — treat every draft as a starting point and verify it before you use it. Volition AI is not a substitute for your own judgment.

Your Data & Retention

We keep your data until you delete it, so you can return to your profile and past applications. You are always in control:

• Export — download your Volition AI data and generated files in one ZIP archive from your account, at any time.
• Delete a document — remove any saved resume or cover letter, including its stored file, without deleting your profile.
• Delete your account — a full erasure that removes every row you own (profile, resume text, job descriptions, generation history, documents and their files, usage, and billing records) and your login identity. Nothing you gave Volition AI remains in Volition AI.

Deleting a document does not restore an application already used. An application is used when the resume is first delivered, whether or not you also generate a cover letter. Billing and usage records are retained as required for accounting and to prevent abuse, and are removed when you delete your account.

What deletion cannot reach. Erasure removes your data from Volition AI. It cannot reach copies held by the AI providers listed above, which retain content for their own limited abuse-monitoring and security periods under their own terms, or entries in our error-monitoring logs, which are stripped of message content but are not keyed to you and expire on their own schedule. If a stored file cannot be deleted at the time you ask, the request is recorded and retried until it succeeds.

Refund Policy

Volition AI offers one-time Application Packs:

• 2 applications
• 5 applications
• 10 applications

The current price for each pack is shown on the billing page and again in Stripe Checkout before you complete a purchase.

One whole application is used when Volition AI first delivers a resume for a job, even if you choose resume only. The same application includes an optional cover letter, application answers, and up to three revisions for that same job. Fit checks are free. Applications are never used in fractions.

A new verified account receives one promotional application. Promotional applications are used before purchased applications. Current expiration dates and paid-pack validity are shown on the billing page and, for a purchase, before checkout.

The current refund-request window and expected review time are shown on the billing page. Unused applications from the selected purchase are placed on hold during review. Approved requests are refunded through Stripe and revoke the remaining applications from that purchase; rejected requests restore them. Refunds are for the full purchase, not a prorated portion, and you receive the decision by email.
